On June 27, over 700 people gathered in Little Tokyo to protest the use of Fort Sill as a detention center for children and to demand an end to the separation of families! Nikkei Progressives was inspired to see so many people and to be part of a 13-organization coalition of Little Tokyo and Japanese American community groups.
Many of you were there, eager to take some kind of action and many new people signed up with Nikkei Progressives. Join us at a Nikkei Progressive brunch (at the JACCC on the 5th floor) to learn how you can get involved. We will provide a light breakfast so please RSVP by July 11, Thursday.
